Bio

  Born In Dublin in 1965, where he now lives and works after living in New York and London for nearly a decade. He graduated from the National College of Art, Dublin 1989 and the Royal College of Art, London 1996. His work embraces various media – Drawing, Photography, Performance and, most recently, Film.

He has exhibited widely in Ireland and abroad. Group shows include At Sea, Tate Gallery Liverpool, 2001, En direct de Dublin, Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris, 2003, Best 3 draw, Draiocht, Dublin, 2006. His work is in public and private Collections, including The Irish Museum of Modern Art, The Arts Council of Ireland and The Irish Contemporary Art Association. He has received many awards including The Henry Moore Fellowship from the RCA and The Henry Moore Foundation, 1995, the RHA’s Annual Drawing Prize 1999, Residency at the Ballinglen Artists Foundation, 2003 and a Projects Award from the Arts Council of Ireland, 2006. He was elected a member of the RHA in 2007 and Aosdana in 2009.
